I’m a UX/UI designer with a background in journalism, photography and various marketing roles. With a love for everything that is visually appealing, I’m passionate about how research and psychology impact design decisions.
I am the UX Specialist on the Web Strategy team at the University of Washington (UW). In my role, I work on numerous website designs and redesigns, creating user-friendly platforms for both users and website maintainers. Since joining the university, I’ve contributed to redesigns for various units, ranging from Campus Community Safety to the Office of Academic Personnel, bringing their sites onto the WordPress theme developed and maintained by my team. To support this, I created and regularly update a documentation website that digital marketers across the UW can leverage to achieve their own digital communication goals.
A former UW graduate, I hold a Master of Science in Creative Writing – Poetry from the University of Edinburgh and have had my work published in multiple literary magazines. In 2022, I was shortlisted for the Grierson Verse Prize.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, traveling, and creating in general—whether it’s behind the lens of my camera or writing prose and verse. I currently live in Seattle with my best friend, my dog Janet.
